Interactive Card Hop - Day 2

Welcome to the Interactive Card Hop - Day 2!

You should have arrived here from Rachelle's blog after seeing her outstanding gatefold card.  If you have arrived at this blog without starting from the beginning, please go visit Monica, our wonderful host, at her blog.   Be sure to leave a comment and become a follower on EVERY blog in order to be eligible to win the grand prize offered by Monica - it looks pretty amazing!

Welcome back!!!  Today I am sharing a Joy Fold card.  Once again I used a tutorial found on the Splitcoaststampers website.  This tutorial was written by Beate Johns and, like the shadow box tutorial, was easy to follow since she included pictures for each step of the process.

Without further ado...my first Joy Fold card (but certainly not my last!):

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: DCWV "The Lodge Stack", Standard Blue, White, and Light Blue Cardstock
Stamp(s): Pink by Design "Sandy Toes" Stamp Set (sentiments)
Stamp Pads:  TPC Clearly Better Inks in "Silver" and "Chocolate"
Brads:  The Eyelet Outlet Pearl Starfish Brads in "Cream" and "Blue"
Ribbon: Dashes, Dots & Checks
Mini Glue Dots
Pink ATG

Since it is hard to show all the different levels of the Joy Fold card in one photo, I thought I'd share a couple of additional images to help you understand the concept :)

Overhead shot of all the different layers

First layer opened

Second layer opened - the sentiment reads "Wish you were here!"

I had a lot of fun creating this card, and definitely could see myself making several more in the Joy Fold style.  Even with a few hiccups here and there, it was fairly easy to put together and - don't tell my Expression/Imagine (or hubby for that matter) - it was nice to have a card that was machine-free! :-D

BLOG CANDY ALERT! :) :) :)
